Get in The Picture Challange

I've been reminded by some recent articles, www.powerofmoms.com/picture, to get in the picture! Document being a mother. I want to remember these days with my kids. I'm going to get in the picture more so I can look back at these wonderful times when they are older and remember "the good ol' days".

Recent Happenings

We spent this last weekend at the nearby lake, SouthFork, fishing. Not a bite!! But it was still a fun outing with the kids.

We will always remember Scott running full speed, screaming!!

Eth, Zach, and Scott went down the lake to another area to see if they could get better luck and fished for a bit. Scott decided to come back where I was with the girls and on his way back saw a snake! I've never seen him book it so fast...even when he had ran a football field away from where he saw it, he was still screaming, running full blast until he got to where I was. His hat blew off just before he got to me but he didn't turn back for a second. I felt bad, but I was laughing, it was soo funny! I put my hand on his chest to calm him down and re-assure him he was ok, and his poor heart felt like it was going to beat out of his chest! We all laughed about it later while eating lunch. So even if we didn't catch anything, we will still laugh about that!

I played around with Hailey's hair today and thought it looked so cute with the curls that I had to get some pictures.. You can't tell but her bangs are pulled back in a topsy tail? (flipped and pulled thru pony tail)
My first child with natural curls!!! So fun!

Scott finally decided he was sick of his long hair and was ready for a cut! Zach and Scott both grew theirs out for awhile. I thought it should be a battle not to fight, hoping that if they get it out of their system now, they wouldn't want to do it as teenagers;) Both agreed they love their hair shorter! I told them to remember that! when they are 14 and want to grow it out;)) I feel like Scott got two years older when it was cut.. I forgot what he looked like with it short. So cute!

I re-did the boys' dresser! I love how it turned out. The sanding seemed like it was never going to end. . but once I figured out how to strip the paint off correctly, it went rather quickly. I just had to wait for days the weather was cooperative to work on it. Once I got to painting, it was really fun because I could see the final results coming together. I used Glidden's Antique White Paint on the bottom and stained the top with Minwax's Jacobean, which is like a dark walnut color. It looks so much better than before!!

A big picture post!

My kids are getting big soo fast! Scott is just like my little brother, always pulling a face for pictures:)

Here's a few recent pics!

Zach, he just came in from jumping on the tramp with the sprinkler. I love this kid!

Scotty B. being his cute self.

Chey turns 4! She is very much into the princesses, makeup, crowns, jewelry, and all things girly. She gets that from her Aunt Monica.
And little miss Hailey. I love her little curls!

Here's my new little nephew, Rockston! Soo adorable!

My Dad came up to visit and see my new little nephew. Here he is with Hailey.

Chey saying, "take a picture of me." Isn't she so cute;)

Zach's baseball team took first place! He had excellent coaches this year and had a great time!

Scott was on a coach pitch team. This was his first year playing. I think he will def. play again next year. He is constantly wanting to play catch with Zach and/or Ethan. He did great as well!
