A long catch up!

Well, March seems to have flown by. I'm sorry I didn't take the time to post. So I'll try to catch you up on the past month.

Nothing too exciting happened in the beginning of the month, but the second weekend, my brother Nate and his wife came to visit. It was a fun, quick visit.

The following weekend we went to Elko for Easter. I got my hair cut even shorter and I love it! It's just under my chin in the front and stacked in an A-line in the back. Something new, and I've gotten lots of compliments.
The weekend went by too fast, so we didn't even get the chance to color easter eggs. My Aunt Dessa put together an egg hunt for her gazillion grandkids in town and invited ours to join them. My cousin's son Quade was baptized Saturday afternoon with a fabulous dinner that followed. A lot of our extended family was in town, so it was great to catch up with everone. By the time that ended and we got back to do the egg hunt, it was dark. So the egghunt turned into a flashlight scavenger hunt. (I just counted in my head, I think there was 15 children with a few parents in tow, but it seemed like there was fifty). They all had to run to a certain area in the yard and find the eggs that had their names written on them. It was great to watch the flashlights running from one side of the yard to the other, covering about 2 acres. There were a few crash and burns but was really funny to see from the back porch. So Thanks Aunt Dessa and Uncle Jeff, I think fun was had by all.

The next weekend we took a little trip back to Vegas to be there for little Presley's baby blessing. It was really nice to go back and see so many good friends. Thanks for the nice lunch girls! The sun was great to see as well, why I didn't think to bring shorts or flip-flops was not a good thing. We had a great time staying with our good friends Kenton and Jen. The kids played great and we also went to The Geisha Steakhouse for old times' sake. It was delish. One of those places where they cook the food right in front of you, you know throwing their knives and spatulas around, starting the onion pyramid on fire... One of the best restaurants I've been to by far. A must try for you Las Vegans when you get a chance. A little spendy, but totally worth it. Anyway the blessing was beautiful and we had a great time. Thanks so much Kenton and Jenny. This summer we'll come down for a little longer:)

This weekend was good too. Friday, we went to the temple with Ethan's brother and his wife. It's always a nice evening when you're at the temple but this time it was really nice. Then Saturday afternoon after the morning session of conference we went to Ethan's parents' to do a sort of make up Easter. Ethan's mom put together these cute little easter buckets for all the kids and did an egg hunt. Richard grilled up some steaks and it was a nice afternoon. Thanks so much Richard and Carol.

What a great General Conference. I'm always so lifted and inspired to be better after listening to our great church leaders and prophet. You just can't deny when you feel the spirit so strong as you listen to the truth and in knowing we are part of a great work here on the earth. I love being a member of this gospel. And did anyone else hear Elder Ballard talk on mothers? It makes me want to be the best mom and wife I can be. Elder Holland too, I think he's one of my favorite apostles, always straight to the point and powerful. And last but not least President Monson. I grew to love him so much more as I learned more about his life and family. He is truly called of God and reminds me a lot of my cousin Kurt which makes me love him even more.

Anyway, life is still good. Just keeping busy with life being a mom/wife and loving it. My kids are growing and changing and I love their beautiful personalities as they continue to blossom. My husband is wonderful too. He works so hard and is wonderful with our kids. Oh, and I also want to mention my wonderful sister, Monica, who is living with us. She is so great at helping me out and keeps me sane on days I just need someone to hold my baby so I can get things done. Thanks Monica, you are wonderful to have around and I appreciate you tremendously.
