Zach had his first Pinewood Derby race this past week. It was fun. The boys all had fun working together, designing, cutting, sanding, painting, drying, painting, drying, sanding, painting... We borrowed some model car stickers from my brother and took some parts off a small toy car to fancy it up. Thanks Nate! Ethan's a pro at making it look good...comes from experience with his Dad and brothers. I must say that Zach did do the majority of the work. Ethan helped guide him:) The race was fun. His cousin Quaid ended up getting first place! Way to go Quaid! Zach got 4th when they went through the brackets..but then they raced the top 4 cars for fun and Zach's car got 3rd. So you know the competitive parent in me likes to say he got 3rd! Ha, ha...no but really he did a good job. There were 19ish cars total! Zach's already designing his next year's car..he loved it!
